What We Store
Public lessons use no analytics, advertising trackers, or account cookies. If you explicitly save reading settings, this site stores an essential theme/text-size preference cookie for up to 180 days. The portal stores its reading preference separately. Signing in uses essential, secure cookies. Your account stores your email address, display name, linked sign-in provider, pilot application, enrolled paths, progress, private notes, preferences, review outcomes, activity, certificates, and any project summaries or pilot feedback you choose to create.
Optional AI Tutor
Each request requires your consent. Only your question and the current lesson and exercise context go to our self-hosted AI model, which runs on the same server as this site; nothing is sent to an outside AI company. Do not include personal or confidential information. Your saved notes, email, and learning history are not sent. AI answers can be wrong; verify important claims.
Cyberdyne does not save tutor questions or replies. Hourly usage counters enforce limits; counters older than 48 hours are removed the next time you use the tutor. Infrastructure services may retain operational metadata.
Private Learning Tools
Focused sessions and authored skill checks do not store scores or change completion automatically. Private note searches use only your account’s notes, do not put the search text in the address, and are not sent to AI. Rejected form drafts are returned to your browser for correction, not stored as drafts.
Private Projects and Pilot Feedback
Project summaries contain copies of notes you explicitly select and your reflection. They remain private to your account and are not sent to AI. Editing or deleting an original note does not remove its copy in an existing summary; delete that summary separately. You can download or delete summaries from Projects.
Pilot feedback is voluntary and requires consent. Administrators see only your submitted task, outcome, comment, and review timestamps, without your account name or email. Private notes, projects, and tutor messages are not attached. Avoid personal information in comments. You may delete submissions; daily cleanup removes feedback older than 90 days. Minimal submission counters prevent abuse and expire after 48 hours without a submission.
Your Controls
Open your profile to export your account data as JSON. Learner accounts can also be deleted there after a fresh sign-in and explicit confirmation. Deletion removes active account records, notes, project snapshots, feedback, progress, linked identities, identifying account audit snapshots, and certificates. Previously issued certificate verification links will stop working.
Retention and Security
We retain account data while your account is active. Protected database backups are retained for up to 30 days, so deleted information may remain in those backups until they expire. Access and security logs rotate separately. We use encrypted connections, access controls, and isolated services; administrators may access information needed to support and secure the service.
